Where can I find the schedule for Hawaii Real Estate License School?

Can I visit Hawaii Real Estate License School's location?

Absolutely! We encourage all prospective students to visit our Open Office  in Kakaako and meet our team. We are located at 1200 Ala Moana Blvd. #380, Honolulu, HI 96814.

What is the tuition cost for Hawaii Real Estate License School?

Our tuition is competitive and includes all materials needed for the course. Please review the "Programs" tab for more information .

What kind of certificate will I receive upon completion?

Upon completion of the Hawaii Real Estate License School course, you will receive a state-approved certificate of completion that satisfies the requirements to register for the State Exam with PSI Exams.

What are the licensing requirements for the real estate salesperson license in Hawaii?

To be eligible for a real estate salesperson license, an individual must meet certain criteria. Firstly, they must have obtained a high school diploma or its equivalent as recognized by the state examination board. Additionally, they must be a citizen of the United States, a U.S. national, or an alien authorized to work in the country, and must be at least 18 years old. Furthermore, the individual must have satisfactorily completed a commission-approved pre-licensing course for real estate salespersons, or its equivalent as determined by the commission. They are then required to pass the state licensing exam, submit a written application for the license, and pay all applicable fees.

Once licensed, a salesperson must affiliate with a brokerage and carry out real estate activities under the supervision of the firm's principal broker. Alternatively, they may opt to apply for an individual license and place it on inactive status.


 

What is the in-person course content?

Participants in the course will gain comprehensive knowledge of various aspects of the real estate industry. This includes an introduction to the real estate business, property characteristics and descriptions, different forms of property ownership and their transfer, licensing regulations, economic factors affecting real estate, land use controls, laws governing contracts and agency relationships, specifics of Hawaii's purchase contracts, financing and mortgage concepts, property valuation methods, taxation rules, title procedures, deeds, and alternative property acquisition methods. Additionally, the course covers landlord-tenant regulations, closing procedures, property management and leasing practices, fair housing laws, consumer protection measures, and ethical considerations along with real estate regulations.

 

How long does it take to receive the Certificate of Completion?

In accordance with state regulations, the process of receiving the certificate may extend up to 10 business days from the completion date of the course.
